In debrief, the Council found that the corridor had revealed more than any single earlier Florida entry.
The Observer confirmed the physical reading. The Analyst confirmed the population and infrastructure reading. The Council Elder then judged what kind of entry this had become.
Physically, the storm had done what the Observer expected: 892 millibars, a five-mile radius of maximum wind, surge exceeding island elevation by ten to twelve feet, and near-total destruction inside the eye wall’s path.
The physical reading held.
The Analyst’s human reading held as well: veterans placed on the target by administrative decision, evacuation delayed inside a holiday chain of command, casualties concentrated in the camps farthest from the train and farthest from strong shelter.
The population reading held.
The system reading held too. The Overseas Railroad had not merely been damaged. It had been ended.
The infrastructure reading held.
The institutional assessment produced results that extended beyond the predictions.

The aftermath then widened beyond pure engineering.
Part of the response was adaptive. The Weather Bureau began rethinking warning intervals, storm observation, and eventually the logic that would lead to reconnaissance flights into hurricanes.
Part of the response was accountable. Congress investigated. Administrators testified. The government had to answer for why the camps had been where they were.
That second channel mattered because it did not build a wall or a dike. It forced human institutions to look at themselves.
The Archivist kept both results together: better warning practice on one side, a public accountability question on the other.
The transmission was real in both channels, but incomplete in both as well.

The filing of the entry required the structural modification.
The Archivist could not place the Keys comfortably beside Galveston, Miami, or Okeechobee as though one lesson dominated.
So he filed Labor Day 1935 as the first Florida convergence entry: several governing lessons arriving in one corridor on one night, each enlarging the others.
The designation would remain available.
The record had widened.
The corridor had been measured.
